Who is this for?

This page is for family members to register for the Lifelines4LovedOnes SMS notification service. The patients page on this site allows patients to start a Jitsi meeting, family members registered with this service will receive a text message when the patient starts a meeting. You must register before the patient starts the call, otherwise you will not receive a text notification. We recommend registering as soon as possible.

Why do we need this?

Tablets will be shared between patients in intensive care units, after sanitising. For patient privacy they are not permitted to log into e-mail or social media services on these tablets, nor can they text from the tablets. This service was created to allow a patient to tell their loved ones that they have started a call. It is specifically designed to not store personal details of patients or their families.

Will I need to install anything before the meeting?

If you're going to take the call using a browser on your desktop or laptop then you will not need to install anything else. If you want to answer the call on your tablet or phone then you will need to download the free Jitsi app using the following links:

Register to get a notification when your loved one starts a call on a L4LO tablet

Patient Details:

Example: If the patients name was John Alex Smith, then enter "J" or "j".

Example: If the patients name was John Alex Smith, then enter "S" or "s".

Example: If the patients date of birth was 21/03/1970, then enter "21".

Example: If the patients date of birth was 21/03/1970, then enter "3".

Example: If the patients date of birth was 21/03/1970, then enter "1970".

It does not matter if you include a space or capitalise your post code.

It does not matter if you include a space or capitalise the ward number.

Format: Starts with '07' and is 11 digits long. Do not include an internationalisation code such as +44. This will only work for UK telephone numbers.

We need your mobile number/email address to send you a notification when the call has been started. You will only receive a text message/email once the patient starts their meeting using the patient page.
